Literasi Digital di Era Kecerdasan Buatan: Sebuah Studi Kualitatif di Kalangan Mahasiswa

Abstrak

Meskipun penelitian tentang literasi digital di pendidikan tinggi semakin banyak, hanya sedikit bukti empiris yang mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa terhadap teknologi berbasis AI dari dimensi kognitif, teknis, dan sosio-emosional khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. Untuk mengisi kesenjangan ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana mahasiswa di Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kendari memahami dan menavigasi literasi digital di era kecerdasan buatan. Observasi dan wawancara mendalam dilakukan sebagai metode pengumpulan data utama yang melibatkan delapan informan mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi literasi digital mahasiswa dapat dipetakan ke dalam lima tema utama: pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang AI, penggunaan AI dalam bidang akademik, berpikir kritis terhadap konten yang dihasilkan AI, etika penggunaan AI, dan tantangan serta harapan mahasiswa. Yang menarik, mahasiswa dari lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam ini secara spontan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam kerangka etika penggunaan AI adalah sebuah dimensi yang jarang dibahas dalam literatur yang ada. Penelitian ini tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi secara empiris dan kontekstual, tetapi juga membawa implikasi bagi kebijakan kurikulum literasi digital di lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam.
